There are many things to do and places to visit around Tenby. All of which are within a short distance of Tenby and eay to get to.

To start with, Tenby has two blue flag beaches: South Beach and North Beach. Both offer safe and clean swimming for children or adults but always check the conditions before going into the waters. Flags are placed on the beach and these designate where you can swim and the safety levels for that time and day.

tab6For those who enjoy the sites and historical aspects, Tenby has a lovely harbour where you can join a fishing trip or just sit and watch the world go by. Tenby's harbour is full of small boats and is very active.

And if you get the urge to grab a drink or a bite to eat, the town, with all its shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, is just a short walk away from the harbour.

For the more energetic and adventurous, there are a handful of entertainment venues in the area; such as: Silent World (a zoo), Heatherton Country Park  (paintballing, Go Karting, Climbing), Oakwood Leisure and Rollercoaster Park (theme park), Manor House Animal Park, Folly Farm (Adventure Park & Zoo) and plenty of others including Blue Lagoon Water Park

For those who like to go back in time, there are a number of castles and historical buildings such as Penally Abbey, Carew Castle, Manorbier Castle, the impressive Pembroke Castle (birthplace of Henry VII) and just a short ferry ride away, Caldey Island.


Skomer Island offers wildlife lovers and photographers a chance to get up close with various birds and be surrounded by some of the richest waters for wildlife in the British Isles.
